Listen to the show.

- The Vancouver show was absolutely BRILLIANT! Ace. Goldfrapp left us in tears and the hairs on my arm were standing on end for the entire show.
Alison really seemed to enjoy the capacity crowd's enthusiasm. Simple unbelievable. The voice, the presence, the instrumentation, the delivery... breath-taking.

- Hi! I'm new. I just saw the show in Vancouver last week, so thought I might contribute a few words.
Not to be picky, but the turnout for the Commodore Ballroom show was far from a capacity crowd. The upper level was roped off, presumbaly a sign of low ticket sales, and it was no challenge at all to walk up and be right in front of Alison Goldfrapp. I'd call it a sleeper gig, you know. Mind you, the Film Festival is in full swing, and it was a Tuesday, so no surprise that it was a smallish audience. Goldfrapp doesn't seem all that well known, I mean, even though Felt Mountain was critically acclaimed in the music press, it's a type of music which takes a rather leftfiled sensibility to appreciate.
The performance was more or less similar to other reviews I've read. Intimate, and enthralling. It was hard to hear the vocals at the stage though, as most of the sound seemed to be coming from the monitors. Alison did call for more volume a couple of times, but no tantrums. She did seem flattered with our response, and gave us a cute little wave as she left after the encore.
I had a yeller behind me, who kept hooting while she was singing! Idiot! Kind of spoiled the mood a bit , to be honest. I eventually had to tell him to shut up, which he did for a whole five minutes.
I feel we were very lucky to have attended this gig. I hope the rumours I've read on this board aren't true. I hope Will Gregory is still going to be a part of this project, and I hope Alison hasn't committed some egotistical faux-pas that would cause her to lose the momentum she has created.
