Text Bikini babes and bouncing balls were the order of the day when Goldfrapp took to the Other Stage in a frenzy of excitement and air of anticipation. The Glastonbury massive assembled eagerly at the stage front following Franz Ferdinand?s triumphant performance, and were all waiting to see what delights the Goldfrapp Glastonbury 2004 set would have in store.

Lead singer Alison needn?t have worried about her concerns over the pressure of living up to everyone?s expectations as she and the rest of the band, notorious for their unique live performances, took to the stage with a bevy of bikini-clad dancers and got a reception from the notably largely male populated crowd that raised a cheer a main headliner could only ever wish for. Here?s what Alison from Goldfrapp had to say following the bands performance:

?I was so incredibly nervous, especially going onstage after Franz Ferdinand?s set, but the crowd was great and the atmosphere was fantastic! It became really good as the evening went on and it got darker - things REALLY started to liven up then. This year at Glastonbury is absolutely amazing, its a whole other scale for us. There were so many people out there and its so different to when we played at the New Bands Tent, and nice to see some familiar faces too.

?The variance in the weather really makes it all a great occasion and its so nice being outside. -I always find being in a tent quite an odd experience. I usually end up feeling a bit too claustrophobic. We?re going to hang around for a bit this year too though and I?m going to have a good old wander around and see whats going on.

?The whole spirit of Glastonbury is what I really like; hanging around, meeting other bands and just having a really good time. There?s not the same pressure here like there is when you?re doing your own show in a venue somewhere, its much more relaxed here. Everyone has come here with THE sole intention to have a great time. Everyone mucks in together and its a really beautiful place; all in all an absolute institution. The one thing you do need at Glastonbury is lots and lots of toilet paper though ?that?s my festival survival tip for everyone; always make sure you?ve got some on you because you never know when you?re going to need it!?
